30 Day GW2 Challenge
Day 16 - What do you listen to while playing?
I listen to a few bands while playing and don’t really have a set playlist… unless I’m on one of my norns (of which I have 3). Then it’s Viking folk metal time! So either Einherjer, or one (or more) of the following: Korpiklaani, Moonsorrow, Tyr and Finntroll.
Normally I’d have posted Clash of the Elder, but this song seems fitting for a norn.

Day 15 - Your favorite fractal.
I have no idea what this one is called and I’ve only played it once, but I thought it was one of the funnest fractals ever.

Day 14 - When did you start playing?
At launch, and during the BWEs for folks who pre-purchased. The above screenshot is my Ranger, Sigrid’s, playtime.

Day 13 - Your favorite explorable dungeon?
This is a toss up between Twilight Arbor, Honor of the Waves and Ascalonian Catacombs. Since I already used AC for story mode, I went with the one I’m much more familiar with - TA.
okay so uh
I hate to say it but
I can see why people want full exo zerker warriors or whatever for that new dungeon :I
You do need some good DPS for this dungeon, but you also need some good condition removal (the burning!) and crowd…
People had trouble with this dungeon? I don’t wanna sound like I’m some MLG e-sports badass, but me and my usual guild group did it last night with minimal preparation and we never wiped and had very little trouble except during one point during the final boss fight when we ALMOST wiped, but managed to squeeze through and avoid death.
Our party consisted of a guardian, ranger, necromancer and two engineers (one rifle/turret spammer and my P/S Flamethrower Juggernaut engie). Not really sure what exact builds anyone was using but myself, but we didn’t have much trouble with either DPS or managing to stay alive. Most of us had full exotics.
Aforementioned Ranger here. I was backline DPS/support running Frost Trap, Flame Trap, Spike Trap and Healing Spring with a Wolf and Jungle Spider pet (mostly used spider for constant poison). Weapons were shortbow and axe/warhorn. Armor is full Vigil. I didn’t have any real issues ‘til I had to take a phone call and couldn’t hear the game anymore.

Day 11 - Your favorite gear set.
In case you haven’t noticed by now, I am a big fan of Sylvari and Norn. It should come as no surprise that my favorite armor sets for both are their culturals… tier 2, to be exact. I’ve transmuted these sets a dozen times because of how much I like them. While both of the above are wearing different armor now, I’ve held onto the cultural to transmute at a later date. I’m also big into their cultural weapons, too.
Oh, also, Quaggan and Charr backpacks. Very important.

Day 10 - Your favorite weapon skin.
Kind of lazy on this one, you’ll be seeing this same screenshot again tomorrow. Anywho, I like cultural weapon skins quite a bit and feel the Warden Hammer is quite brutal looking. It’s wrapped in thorns!

Day 09 - A screenshot you like.
I like a lot of the screenshots I take. That’s why I take them. But this one caught my eye as I was scrolling through them to pick one for the challenge. The other option was a cool one from a world boss, but I figure there will be a lot of those posted.

Day 08 - PvE/PvP/RP?
I really only do PvE. There’s too much fun stuff to do in it from jumping puzzles to cool world bosses (which can sometimes be glitched - thanks, friendly mesmer!)
But, I’d be lying if I said I don’t maybe make up background stories and deeper descriptions of my characters than what I’m given in-game. I just don’t actually do anything with it.

Day 07 - Your favorite piece of lore.
This is a tough one for me. I’ve had so much lore thrown at me in the course of playing the game it’s hard for me to remember all of it and keep it straight. I’ll keep it simple - I love the norn Spirits of the Wild (and their ability to turn into them), and the background of the sylvari in general. As much shit as I give Riannoc and Faolain/Caithe, I appreciate them as important parts of the greater story of the sylvari.
I’m also a fan of Melandru, and I like that ANet kept Kormir around as a goddess. All things involving the kodan I find very intriguing as well.
